>>45263694Say your opponent has a Naganadel, and you have a Dragapult, but Dragapult isn't out and it's the only thing that can check Naganadel. Now let's look at the scenarios:
>You send in Dragapult, Naganadel uses Draco MeteorDragapult gets KO'd, opponent pretty much wins.
>You send in Dragapult, Naganadel uses something elseDragapult gets in and takes some damage. Naganadel needs to switch to survive, and opponent is put on the defensive
>You send in something else, Naganadel uses Draco MeteorOther thing gets in. If it's not a fairy, Naganadel damages it. If it is a fairy, Naganadel doesn't get the SpA drop and can use a more effective move next turn.
>You send in something else, Naganadel uses something elseStrongly depends on what the something elses are, but it can go either way.
Your opponent can just click Draco Meteor without thinking and either take out the biggest threat or get off some chip damage on something else.
You, on the other hand, are in a position where your best case scenario is putting your opponent on the defensive.
It's not an equal exchange. Your risk is higher and your reward is lower.
