>>45275319The fire type as a whole is simply not very useful in gen 1, especially ingame. You can beat bugs and grass types easily many other ways, and the only ice type that Lorelei uses that is weak to fire is Jynx. The rest of her team is weak to grass and electric, not fire.
Charizard is alright in yellow with Fly to take care of fighting types as well, though.
