Might as well, stripping Pokémon of every part of its identity has been the game plan for a while now. Get rid of 4 move limit too.

It's outdated but that fits Pokemon because it's a game from 1996 at heart
PP as is doesn't really matter for gameplay except for a handful of moves so I don't think it'd actually change much unless GF fucked up how much moves cost, like if Hydro Pump took half your MP or something

They're meant to be that way so that the player can use more moves between Pokémon Centers, but the whole intention falls apart on PvP battles. It needs to be changed.

It's one of the few things the game which shall not be named did correctly. It's fucking stupid that a vast majority of moves are completely and utterly useless(outside of a few Technician users) just because they aren't part of the 90+ power 100 accuracy standard.

After playing some of the Pokemon clones that use a Mana system I'm convinced that PP has to go.
You would think Mana slows down the game on paper but it actually makes it faster somehow.

For the most part Sonic 06 was very in line with Adventure era Sonic, the obvious exceptions being that realistic Eggman abomination and the bestiality. 06's problem was being an unfinished piece of shit, kinda like SWSH. At least SWSH functions, barely.

Also fuck that stage with the giant silver balls over pits. You know the one.

Agreed. Being able to limitlessly spam things like rapid spin, substitute, and recover is cancerous. It practically encourages stalling and its only real counter sometimes are crits.

Meanwhile a move like Sucker Punch is capped out at 8 making using it take real strategy.

Move cooldowns in TheyThem is a genuinely good idea and I would honestly be ok if Pokemon ripped it off wholesale, it's a good way of balancing moves that would be overpowered if you could spam them every turn like heals or powerful status effects.
Protect kind of works that way already but it's just a weird edge case.

General MP systems predate Pokemon's PP. Didn't Temtem try an MP system with Pokemon's multiplayer gameplay and it was decidedly worse?
