You're acting like the GameCube, and the two pokemon games Genuis Sonority made for it strictly have value as methods of catching Ho-oh and Lugia like how the DLC and Bank/Home work where they can only interact with pokemon games. Colo and GoD are their own contained campaigns, both of which some of the best shit pokemon has to offer. The GameCube is just a good ass console so it's not like buying one is a bad thing, you have access to all of the games it plays now like Animal Crossing, Mario Sunshine, Wind Waker plus the Zelda collection with Oot and MM, and a shit ton of other good games. You also say that like it was a consistent trend when in Gen 4 you only needed Platinum, HG/SS, and an internet connection.
