These are the only mainline Pokemon games (not counting lgpe) that I couldn't be bothered to finish

Tbh, the only Pokemon games I never finished were uh...gonna get flayed for this

BW2

I loved and still love BW1, but i could never get into the sequels. i tried like 3-4 times but i always stop somewhere around the middle of the game. not sure why, they're objectively not bad games (the story sucks tho)

It's okay, like OP I also couldn't get through USUM despite trying multiple times. Our tastes just don't align with those particular games I guess. (B2W2 in your case and USUM in ours)

What is it about these games that made you drop them? I picked up Ultra Sun about a week ago and have logged about 15 hours into it so far, the tutorials and cutscenes are annoying but not enough for me to drop the game. I've been enjoying the gameplay, EXP share doesn't bother me as much as I thought it would after reading thread after thread of people shitting on it.

I have never completed the Hoenn League. I've reached the Elite Four multiple times, I've had Kyogre and Rayquaza, but I never actually beat Steven or Wallace. No clue why.

BW2 has really bad pacing. As soon as you leave Mistralton things start to pick up and it becomes by far the best stretch in any mainline game, but up until that point it's such a fucking slog.

I've only just remembered that a major element was probably the fact that I wanted to play through with this team, got to the elite 4 and realised I fucked up and had been using a lurantis instead of a tsareena the entire time
