The only way I would improve these games is by having past pokemon be really rare encounters to have more variety but even than then games aren't bad, y'all stay tripping.

I would improve the game by making it far less linear so that I could actually use the new pokemon that appear at the very end of the game for things besides Ghetsis. And the new pokemon aren't utilized that well, a lot of the gym teams suck and Alder's and N's teams are both lousy.

All new Pokemon with no old ones until post-game was the best decision Game Freak made if only because it meant not having to see Zubat and Geodude again for the umpteenth time. But new games won't do it again because they're trying to stall in making new Pokemon so there isn't too many and they're all too hard to impliment.

I'm very sick of seeing Zubat, Tentacool, and Geodude time and time again.

To be fair, they all got Dexited and Tentacool and Zubat aren’t that annoying in their respective return expansions

They literally need to do what they did with unova and have another generation with a pokedex like B/W. No old pokemon until postgame. It was like playing gen 1 all over again except without the outdated shitty mechanics.
