>>45304103>Only on defensive setsDumbass, Bulu is bulky as shit naturally, and having extra resistances gives it extra switch in opportunities.
>It isHardly anything in OU is going to use Steel type attacks. Excadrill, sure, but it'd have to predict right to nail Bulu, and Bulu OHKOs with Grassy Glide. Genesect is gone and Scizor, Magnezone, Skarmory, and Celesteela have dropped as well. Heatran is the only real concern, but it has to watch itself for Close Combat/Super Power on the switch in, and neither Bulu or Rillaboom will stay in on it ever.
>In a switch heavy meta where no one likes to lose their item, Knock Off and U-turn are much better than those moves. And you know what's better than risking a burn by touching Volcarona or Moltres, or a Paralysis by touching Zapdos? Stone Edge/Rock Slide. The meta is switch heavy, sure, but it's better to outright kill switch-ins than to remove their items.
>Volcarona didn’t stop Rilla from being one of the most used Pokémon in the tierBecause Rilla is just that good, and Volcarona was always one of the premier switch ins.
>Volcarona doesn't even like switching into Rillaboom a lotVolcarona doesn't have to switch in a lot, it threatens Rillaboom out and gets to set up a QD, serving as a win-con for the Volcarona user. Plus, Rillaboom risks getting burned for even touching Volcarona, so U-turn is a risky prospect, as is Knock Off. Meanwhile Bulu can KO it on switch.
>Implying Bulu even has a good matchup with RillaboomRilla can't OHKO Bulu, Bulu can OHKO Rilla. Bulu can also recover way easier, and, if it had Grassy Glide, it wouldn't really need to worry since it has priority anyways.
