Pokemon Sword is on sale for 39.99 plus free shipping on Amazon.
Should I buy it? Nothint else coming out I'm interested in. I haven't played a pokemon since BW2.

Yes.

If you liked BW2, or the previous Pokemon games, you should like it :).

Took me a while to get a Switch Lite and Pokemon Shield becuase I'm quite poor lol and was reading bunch of negative stuff about it.

But I liked all of the previous games, and desu have no complaints about the new ones! Chnage is hard for some people, but if you like Pokemon, and think you might like playing a modernised version...you probably will!

If you dont like it, you can sell it for basically the same price if you get the physical version anyway. So yeah, if you have the funds, and cant see any games your sure you'll like better, you cant raeally go wrong.

The main game sucks ass and only the DLC is worth it.

Just to add, I've been playing it slowly and taking my time for over a month now and havent even reached the DLC content yet, so don't think this is neccesary IMO. Sure, you coul d speed though it juch faster...but if your aim is to explore fully and enjoy, why would you do that?

You can just play the whole game and get the DLC if you crave more, or just sel it for basically no loss if you have a physical copy.

Then if your still into it after that, there is all of the competetive stuff/collecting pokemon/shinies/other online play.

If you like Pokemon it's fine. You really need the DLC for an actually good experience, and quite Frankly the DLC isn't worth $30 on its own. If you can get the base game for $30 and then buy the DLC yourself, that rounds out to $60 for the "full" game which is about the price it's worth. $40 is a little over that, but if you have the money it's not horrible.

Is it as simple as download the ROM file and play on the Yuzu emulator? And is it easy to find a ROM of it? I'm a retard with this stuff, but have done easier emulation like GBA, DS, and recently 3DS.

it's pretty easy. there's a bit of set up but it's really not that difficult. you have to download some keys or something. it took me like 5 minutes to set it up after getting the emulator and downloading the rom
finding a rom is pretty easy too. just look up "(switch game) xci" but it might take a while to download because it's a 4 gig file if im not mistaken

Do you think it would work okay on a laptop? I don't know specs on what I have, I do know it ran 3DS Citrus okay with the slight delay here and there, but during it got hot as fuck.

well yuzu got a pretty substantial performance increase recently but I'm not sure if it'll run super smooth. it wouldn't hurt to try anyway I guess

Yes, Sword/Shield have their own issues, but at the end of the day, it's Pokemon.

Different anon here, but that post is literally comparing SWSH to BW2. Those games are worlds apart in content and tone, and generally someone who likes one won't like the other. SWSH is constantly being compared negatively to BW2 as well.

That's another dead giveaway, anyone who's played base SWSH will tell you its content doesn't last even a week let alone a month. I can attest given I have actually played that piece of shit.

It's absolutely bait, the only thing remotely factual is that you can get a good chunk of your money back since physical copies still go for roughly forty bucks on ebay.
