Ga-Ole is a battle simulator released in 2016 and has had 20 sets of extra content released, each set containing roughly 10 to 20 units. This is a 4 year old arcade game we are talking about that costs 100 yen per round to play.
Compare this to SwSh, which is a fully fledged RPG, featuring 420 usable Pokémon, excluding the Max Lair Legendaries, and is a game under the Nintendo name (thus pretty much always sold for max price).
Of course a 4 year old game that pays special attention to the units they feature to make it as appealing as possible has better graphics than a game which base game only had about a year or two to be developed and move the devteam to a different project.
