That's with guts active. If they have a stall set with leech seed they will switch into ferrothorn sometimes. Same thing works with bug/steel types and it makes more sense to switch in.

Just turns the game in to a complete gamble. Can’t be one hit KO’d, outspeeds 95% of opposing pokemon, has a range of possibilities which at worst let’s you up+ the Sp Attack of another pokemon with Nasty Plot and Baton Pass while still existing as a fodder reserve switch, and at best encoring a shit move.
