Has there ever been an in-depth attempt to see which gen's metas would be the strongest? I don't mean teams of the best new pokemon from each, I mean literally taking the best metas of each gen and comparing them in mock battles, complete with the stat/ability updates and nerfs each one had at the time (and if possible, somehow keeping in mind the effects of bugs or broken mechanics like gen 1 freeze being incredibly hard to escape from).
I think it'd be interesting to see which ones had the most broken combinations of mechanics, and if there were hard counters to each other.

Of course, this'd take a shitload of autism and knowledge of each game to do properly.
