My very first time playing through diamond, it was like midnight when I entered this route and I remember being so immersed. The very first encounter I got was in the huge grass patch next to the Inn, it was a snover. I had obviously never seen snover before so I was really excited and caught it right away, I used to always catch new pokemon as soon as I saw them in gen 3 and 4 since I never really looked online for leaks or anything back then.
Anyway I agree OP, route 216 and 217 are extremely kino

If Gen 4 was anything, it was a vibe. I tend to not think much of it when discussing the generations that I like best, but I really did enjoy it, despite all of its faults. There was something about the way that a lot of it came together. The music, the places to go, things to do. It was like... even though sometimes it could be a bit of a slog, everything was kind of worth checking out.
