>>45343262I was only five when I started pokemon, so I don't really remember very well but I think Squirtle was the one I picked, and it was either a Rattata or Pidgey that I caught first, I definitely caught them both on route one, so whichever was the first the other was the second I caught. Yes my first pokemon holds a special place in my heart. I remember sweeping through the elite four with Blastoise just using Ice Beam, Blizzard, Surf and Hydro Pump because I was five and quickly fell back on only using him. I had the Pidgey, who became Pidgeotto by that point, on the team but it was a low level cause again, five and just used Blastoise
