It was nice to see the characters be more than just background/filler, each of them had their own stories and motivations and some amount of actual development yet the pokemon themselves weren't any less present than normal. That's a lot for a pokemon movie and my entire group left the theater with tears in our eyes.

one of the best to use cgi backgrounds before tekkonkinkreet. surprisingly high quality for the time. the cgi water is dated though

1, 2000 and 5 are my favorites

the entei and celebi ones are very pretty but i don't care about the story as much. all soundtracks are legendary. I think the deoxys one is fun tooo but thats after ash stopped being funny
