Hopes for gen IX?

I hope they bring back following pokémon like the SS DLC but this time the feature is available in the entire region and not just specific areas

If I buy the next game, it won't be a day one purchase. I could get screwed over getting an exclusive character I don't want like Allister, Gordie or Avery. If there is another stupid character like Hop then I might just skip it like LGPE.

Expectations? Worse than where we are now. Maybe we'll see microtransactions from all the mobileshit TPC is making bleed into the main series.
At this point, I've already cut myself off from the series post 2012. I want to watch it burn and see just how far Poketards will go to defend Game Freak. There is genuinely nothing and nobody to save the series from itself so I might as well wish for a spectacle.
