Why do the levels spike in BW in the post game?
Seriously my whole team is like, level 48-50ish when I beat the main story, and then as soon as I enter route 11 I'm fucking smacked in the face with regular trainers having teams of pokemon in the mid 60s. Some of the trainers such as veterans and ace trainers carry actually competent teams that are harder than any boss in the main game other than maybe ghetsis. I welcome this kind of difficulty, makes the post game actually engaging to play, but if they were gonna give trainers good teams then why spike the levels so much? That just necessitates grinding, which isn't hard in BW to be fair, but is pointless. Could've just made the post game 10 levels lower and it would've worked exactly the same but now it would be reasonably doable right away.
Is there a reason for this? Anyone have a theory? Pic unrelated
