>>45353329In Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire versions, Solrock is one of the quirkiest monsters in the Pokedex. It's odd design and relation to outer space make it a very unique and interesting Pokemon.
When it debuted, Solrock, the sun-inspired Pokemon was exclusive to Ruby version. Lunatone, the moon-inspired Pokemon was exclusive to Sapphire version, and they are viewed as counterparts to each other, much like many monsters from the previous installments. Solrock is a more offense-oriented Pokemon while Lunatone is more defense-oriented; again, there are similar cases to this.
In their respective versions, Solrock and Lunatone are encountered in the mysterious "Meteor Falls," a place that seems to have some sort of connection to outer space and/or meteorites. This falls in line with Solrock's Pokedex entry, which reads:
"Solrock is a new species of Pokémon that is said to have fallen from space. It floats in the air and moves silently. In battle, this Pokémon releases intensely bright light."

Overall, Solrock is a very peculiar Pokemon with some alien origins. It is one of the most bizarre-looking monsters in the Pokemon series and much the same can be said for its counterpart, Lunatone. It's appearance in the mystical Meteor Falls only adds to its strangeness, and I, for one, am a huge Solrock fan.
