The colors don't work with the design. It looks fucking terrible. I like a lot of shinies, like Accelgor, Magmar, and too many to count, but this just doesn't work.

galarian zap actively contrasts its legs, that's why its shiny colors don't work as well

even the original still had brown grayish legs

in general, 3d model feels like the eyes are too close, and the paper thin chest and neck feathers look well, paper

still like it and its animations though

No, Anon, this shiny is bad. The concept is good and really works for G-Stunfisk, G-Articuno and G-Moltres, but G-Zapdos ends up way too flat with its original colours - they needed to make the beak and legs darker to compensate but instead stuck to being faithful too hard.

The non shiny version looks good.
The shiny looks wrong because you associate it with the original Zapdos, so this looks like a weird caricature. Doesn't help that big yellow birds get instantly associated with the Sesame Street bird too.
