>>45365096I honestly thought this was the standard and that everyone did it, specially after customization was introduced. Give the MC your name, try to dress them similar to how you dress irl, maybe with some fashion touches here and there, and choose a hair color that matches yours, or represents you in some way (like how I had white hair for a period of my life and absolutely loved it before turning it back to normal for reasons so I give my MCs white hair now).
And from then on play like normal and enjoy characters telling you nice things and becoming the region's hero/savior and yadda yadda.
