You do know that even the new pokemon games use MIDI for their tracks right?
The genius denority games were the ones with actual orchestral scores and they were pretty good, but in terms of this kind of music the black ane white games had the most unique music.

The gen 5 soundfont is probably one of the worst in any game. I don't know how they went from gen 4 to disjointed intruments that play way too loud.
