You realize ingame is easy enough that defensive mons function just fine with an attack or two right? I used Toxapex and it did just fine.

Not him but ingame is so easy that defensive mons make it far too slow. It is much better to just go full attack unless you are stuck with a challenge such as Nuzlocke.
