My little cousin wants to get into pokemon but wants to know what he should play first. Unfortunately I don't have gens 1 or 2 or BW. Also I don't want him to turn into a brainwashed Sinnohdrone like 50% of /vp/.

What order should I introduce the games to him?

Gen 3 (RSE) is comfy to start with, if he dont have problem with non 3D games. Otherwise gen7 have nice moments too with Alola beach scenaries and all, plus Ultrabeasts catch is nice.
Dont touch gen6, have bland gym leaders and the 4 rivals are annoying, and I still dont play gen8 to comment on that
