It's not like uncommon Pokémon are unloved. For example, Gliscor is TOP 10. They are just Pokémon that are not offered regularly because their rarity or availability. Most them are mons that aren't in SwSh

It was probably an uncommon starter choice in DP, and since then its only been available as a post-game gift a couple of times. Most people don't go through the trouble of playing an older game just to get a starter, and request it on the GTS hoping someone else will breed theirs.

Some legendaries are on the top, but they are more common and more exchanged than Huntail/Gorebyss.

At least I think it's how it works.
