I've officially played this game longer than any other pokemon game (84 hours and 34 minutes) ever.

I hate Gordie, Allister and Avery because I see them as replacement scrappies to their female counterparts. I do like Milo, Kabu, Bede, Piers, Raihan, Rose, Leon, Mustard and Peony. I hate Hop because he is annoying and I wanted Rose to use Zacian.

I have 290 hours in, and I can safely say it is the most disappointing Pokemon game of all time. In terms of story and graphics, it's a 3DS game, and the dex cut was purely out of greed to maximize profits with the DLCs. I love breeding strong Pokemon and battling online, I actually like Dynamax too. Music is good, characters are interesting at certain times, but fail to make a strong impression. Max raids and their rewards are decent, they could use tweaking here and there though. Exp candies, mints, and ability capsules are solid additions to the series. Making money is way easier in this game too.

I have 495 hours now, before DLC hit it was at 300-something, so it definitely beat my old HGSS record yeah.

I still think the game is deeply flawed, but I do also think it is the most fun I've had with the franchise in a long long time too thanks to the smoother loop
