Let's discuss starters. Why were Gen 5 starters so fucking shit in terms of design? It makes no sense at all. In fact, Greninja has no relation to France either.

I agree, I started playing White last week for the first time ever and it was really hard choosing a starter, they all look fugly (like most of the gen anyway)

I love Emboar so fucking much. If I play pokémon Black/White 2 ten times I will pick Tepig ten times. This is not a shitpost. I like boars a lot and Emboar is so fucking badass. I'm sad he's so overlooked and overhated but man, I'm glad he exists. The fact that he is underrated makes picking him all the cooler. It's a badass fire boar that evolves from an adorable fire pig, I honestly don't get the hate.

If you hate Emboar, show me a redesign that was better than the original.

The main problem with emboar is being again a fire starter "on fire", with chine theme and fighting type

I love Emboar because it builds on Infernape. The two have great design synergy to me. I feel like it would be liked ten times better if it weren't for Blaziken being in front of them.
