Grapploct, Sirfetch'd and Falinks. While it's true that not every Pokémon needs to be dual typed, Fighting has a huge problem with role overlap and giving them dual types (Water, Flying and Steel, respectively) would give them niches.

normal is expressly a lack of any special element, it makes no sense for them to be typed with anything else. Why is diggersby, a "digging" pokemon normal/ground when something like diglett, a "mole" pokemon, is pure ground?

Normal is, for the lack of a better word to explain, a "generic" element. Like light is white, but actually composed of many colors, so the Normal element is "white" but still a element.

No advantage since water is a good defensive type, and not bad offensive type, it means you have an electric and grass weakness but also some good resistances. And more importantly, STAB on its many water moves. Pure fighting is just a gimp. They probably thought Octolock would be broken lol
