he's got Rest. If you can just stall for those 5 turns, healing any damage and statuses you're good.

Why wait? Little known fact, during slow start, even with maximum attack investment, Regigigas is actually a better Special Attacker than it is physical (base 54 attack equivalent).

So just build him as a trickroom special attacking wall, right? Thunder(bolt), Earthpower, Focus Blast, maybe Terrain Pulse.Seems good to me senpai.

I kinda want to ask showderp to do that now.

I thought it still sucked when I made a physica version but made a special attacker after reading this slapped assault west with the moves hyper beam, earth&ancient power, thunder and all the stats to special attack and defense and it took multiple hits from anything and always took down one mon before going down so p decent

Better. In singles, at least. Everything in doubles has Protect, which hard counters Truant. But it can at least get some shit done every other turn.
And Slaking would be better with Slow Start because it has the reliable recovery to stall out the 5 turns.

Same as order of operations that lets megaMawile get huge power-ed Foul Play.

It's a physical move, so anything that helps or hinders physical attacks affects it.

Slow Start specifically modifies the stats of Regigigas, likely because it modifies both Attack AND Speed. It doesn't touch the power of moves. It's an outlier ability at this point.

I climbed to 1700 in Doubles UU last gen by using Regigigas and Worry Seed Unburden Sceptile. Most didn't expect the Worry Seed so they focused on Sceptile (which had Detect for Fake Out.)

Did the same with Entrainment Moxie Solgaleo, but it didn't work as well.

Slow Start rework:
Attack and Speed are halved for 20 turns, but Regigigas doesn't have to be out for the counter to start countng.
Thus, all he has to do is wait for 20 turns to pass in combat, and then he can come in.

he's still a pure normal type with eh, not bad coverage but not wonderful. there's a reason there's no pure normal types in OU except chansey/blissey.

It's a snorlax with less health but a fairly larger attack.

Moxie Regigigas isn't bad, but Insomnia is actually very useful and Unburden Sceptile is very versatile. After the Sash is activated it can outspeed pretty much anything and spread Leech Seed, Toxic or just spam Worry Seed. Which can potentially stop the opponent by removing Soul Heart, Lightning Rod, etc. Earthquake resistance and threatening bulky water types is very nice too.
