The communists even allied with the NSDAP, not because they agree, but they thought they would be useful idiots to destroy the SDP and then, once in power, just purge the NSDAP since they were seen as a non threat.
They don't teach this in history, what happened in Germany in the 1920s or it might cause people to question this barbaric notion that Germany was evil. Instead, they teach Hitler and the NSDAP as being just some random thing that came out of power and took power for themselves.
