>>45400862Because when you tote a franchise over the nostalgia for the phenomenon it created for so long it begins to create a self-sustaining cycle in which even parts of the franchise that weren't previously based on nostalgia now have that element to them, which makes it all the more profitable to go back and remake the entry because nostalgia is the one thing Pokemon sort of manages to manipulate in its favor.
Unfortunately, i'm still waiting on proper Kanto remakes that actually capture the essence of the originals. None of that "You can't use X Pokemon because I said so!" bullshit FRLG and LGPE did.
