what about using Gigas as a red herring and pair it with something that can learn Simple Beam, Skill Swap, Worry Seed, etc. but doesn't use it? It's bulky and has good gimmicky support moves like Block, Safeguard, T-wave, Gravity, and what not

There's just too much that needs to be done to make this thing useful. Whether it's using a turn to change his ability, relying on a min to not die the entire match to prevent abilities all around, or wait 5 turns (which is never happening in VGC), you have to do WAY too much to try and get this thing to work.
You're better off using something else 10 out of 10 times

Weezing doesn't do anything itself. Regigigas minus Slow Start is worse than Pokémon with less BST, but can take better advantage of Trick Room, Tail Wind, Helping Hand, Drought, Fake Out, whatever.
