As uncanny as it is, to be honest I don't really mind it at all. The drought is definitely having an effect on average thread quality, but I like the speed /vp/ is at right now. Not so fast that it's impossible to keep up with, but not so slow that I have to wait a week to get a reply. Plus I'd take /vp/'s cast of eccentric regulars over the idpol jihadis and post-post-post-post-ironic meme regurgitators that infest the rest of the internet any day lol

if you have a 3ds, rumble world is free but kinda paytowin althought theres a no microtransactions version that isnt free

Apparently, most of the Rumble models were actually made for Ranch. Wow, got a lot of mileage out of those models, huh? I had a friend who was insane enough to breed 1000 Magikarp to get a Mew from that game

i honestly have doubts if rumble returns because the last few games are
mobile game failure that they had to shut down in a year because it flopped
game the only sold a lot because it has a freemium version

I'm probably just clinging to false hope at this point, but maybe if we're lucky, the new Snap will rekindle an interest in spinoffs. The Switch feels like an ideal platform for more Rumbles and pet sims and other more experimental games, but who knows if TPC will bother to take advantage of that when they know they don't need to.

Also while it's sad the game didn't last long enough to get gen 8 pokemon in, at least the gen 7 models are all pretty cute :D

I really enjoyed Rumble but not the latest one on the 3DS and the mobile one. It's like a fun semi ARPG semi beat'em up. And the chibi low poly models have a real charm.

You just made me remember that one of my childhood dreams as a aspiring programmer was to make a screensaver containing a handful of randomized Pokémon Ranch mons interacting with each other.

It's my favorite Pokémon spin-off series although each game is worse than the one before.
OG > Blast > U >>> World > Rush

The concept has tons of potential and the game is arguably easy to develop (just have the models flair around while attacking) and no one expects great animations or quality from them. So why aren't they doing more with it?

Rumble is possibly my fave spinoff series of pokemon, always the same core gameplay loop but with different structures and contexts to them. I havent played the one on mobile yet, but the rest have always been good time wasters.

Me too. Shitty as it this place is, it is really comfy, and the most genuine place I've seen that's pokemon focused. Most other websites focus too much on fame drama and peer pressure among users than actually talking about Pokemon. And it's nice to talk to genuine fans than having to listen to some teen on social media dribble on over their ironic memes and popularity for the 1000th time

Anybody know how to efficiently grind rumble blast for power? I've defeated dark rust, but I'm stuck in the endgame now on one of the tournaments. Is there a way to power up pokemon too? Because I'd like to be able to use my epic steelix in higher level content. Furthermore, is there a way to get more than one epic pokemon throughout the game if I release the first one, or do you just get one and that's it?

I enjoyed Rumble Blast more than the Wiiware one. The story was nothing special but its segmented chapters were a nice touch that helped the game not feel so repetitive. Doing the same 6 maps and then doing a battle royale in the original Rumble got pretty old after a while.
I loved being able to use the Unova Pokemon since gen 5 is one of my favorite gens. The new gameplay modes were also pretty neat. I enjoyed the team battles more than I expected since the AI was actually decent. Hyper mode was cute due to how your team would stack up. Speaking of cute, charge battles never failed to make me smile. It was pretty adorable seeing your lead toy Pokemon(especially if it happened to be a cute Pokemon like Pichu or something) command an army of toy Pokemon and ram themselves into the enemies on the battlefield.
