If you don't like him, then sharpedo is a really damn good special attacker. I know what you're thinking, he's a physical attacker, but no he also has 95 spatk and access to surf, crunch, ice beam and utility moves like taunt and swagger. He's also going to outspeed anything at the elite four if you're around the same level or a bit lower.
That means if you get one with a special attack boosting nature, you can just decimate drake and put some major dents in everything else.
In fact, sharpedo can solo the elite four just about besides some of the bulkier water/ice types you face off against.
But that's what you have your grass and electric types for.
Sharpedo is a serious beast.
