Anyone ever found it really odd how despite being important to the series, the rivals, champions, professors, etc are almost rarely ever represented in Smash in any physical form besides their music themes/alternate hats? Like you don't see the Elite Four appear in the background of the Kalos/Unova Pokemon League stages, none of the trainers have had any trophies, stickers or even spirits. Hell not even the Pokemon Trainer fighter spirit shows the original FRLG artwork from which their designs were pulled from.
