>>45410887i only finally got it a week ago because what has been added back pretty much encompasses my collection of fully trained mons (only cant transfer greninja, crabominable, golem-A, and serperior)
Even with most of my pokemon back, its not really that fun.I enjoyed it at first because I thought the gym challenge was cool and enjoyed the gym battles, but once I finished the game, i saw the gaps in the game more
>no explorable areas beyond a single room>once you beat the champion there arent any more places to discover; you see them all during the game>every pokemon present in the code is catachable. no point to transferring anything except if theyre your "bros">wild area isnt interesting enough to spend the majority of your postgame there like it was probably intended foreven a linear game like BW had new places to find after the story ended. I didnt have any problems with gen 6, and gen 7 just had dull environments, but this is the first time im legitimately concerned with what the series will become. Will gen 9 just get rid of routes and caves altogether?
Also there was virtually no story other then "go to gyms, become champion. I really enjoyed team rocket and tea mgalactic plots etc of older games, so its kind of sad what the evil teams have become. I hope they dont butcher them in DP remakes but they probably will
The DLCs being just new wild areas didnt really make them that cool for me. As a whole i just dont think the wild area was a good idea, because I feel like it came at the cost of other features. even the method for legendary hunting (dynamax adventures) was really fuckin dull this time around. I dont get how even with 2 DLCs they couldnt really make the game better.
I will give SS this though, the introduction of things like mints, exp candy, sharing of egg moves etc makes it less lethargic to train your pokemon. Literally the only thing you still have to breed for now is just what ball you want for your mon
