Galar merch is just selling so well they keep getting more. This line started with a Pokemon FRLG theme, then it became Johto but Johto sold so badly they didn't even do more than one Gym Leader before moving on to Galar and it's been more and more Galar since.

I'm sure after they're done with Galar they'll go back and try another previous gen, but if it's like Johto and nobody gives a shit don't expect to get many humans.
