My first shiny was a Hoot-hoot on Pokémon Gold. And I had TONS of shinies in the gen 3 games: Larvitar, Sentret, Zubat, Geodude, Cubone, Squirtle, Cyndaquil.

Nowadays tho, I don't care about that. You know you are an adult when you no longer care about shinies.

Rhyhorn in Ruby. I didn't know about Shinies as a kid (assuming Red Gyrados was just special) and thought me putting the red Pokeblock in the Safari Zone feeder turned the Rhyhorn red. Spent hours trying to get it to work again.

If I recall, it was a Shiny Makuhita on Pokemon Ruby. However, I never knew about Shiny Pokemon at the time. (I was really young back then, around the early to mid 2000s when I first saw it) I made it faint since I didn't really know what made it so special.

Little did I know that what would follow are a series of Shinies that I would constantly fail to get, finally breaking the streak with a Shiny Nincada, effecitvely 3 Shinies for 1 Ball.

First encounter was shiny nidoran male in gold, I must have been maybe 7 and killed it. I think the first one I obtained was a ?smoochum from the egg the daycare man gives you in Crystal. If I remember right, that same playthrough I also got shiny entei.

Technically Red Gyarados in Gold but we all know that doesn't count.
My first real wild shiny encounter was a Tauros in HG.
I fucking loved that 'mon. Used him all the ay up to Gen 7 before I gave up on handhelds. Now he's just chilling on a game cartridge in my attic

I don't really remember, what I remember is encountering a shiny "Joltik" in a hackrom. Since this game replaced already existing mons instead of adding new ones, the Joltik transformed into a Porygon after I moved it into an official game. Pretty cool desu.
