I'm a big psychic/ghost/poison/dark type pokemon and I coming from that angle I thought Gen 5 had lots of cool mons

All based. Gen 5 is second only to Genwun in terms of mons imo.

Agreed, gen V had good designs overall, both for the Pokemon and humans.

Speaking of the Gen V humans here's an unpopular opinion, Alder is the best Champion we've had so far.

I see Calyrex posted all the time as an example of a shitty design and I just don't see it. He reminds me of the cool psychic designs from older gens. I haven't actually played the game he's in so maybe there's more to the hate.

The neck upwards is alright, but the body and the limbs are horrendous. It looks especially bad when it's mounted and the legs just flop over the side of the horse like giant noodles.
