And while we're on the subject, Pokemon World used to frequently use this Pokemon to represent Skitty. No idea why they did. Even once Ruby and Sapphire were out in Japanese and Skitty was very obviously pink and cutesy they'd still use this red version in reviews and such. Anyone know where it came from?

Why does it seem like everything in this magazine was some next-level shitposting way ahead of its time? I've seen quite a few pics of it here now

It honestly does feel that way. I've still got a couple and there's quite a lot of poorly researched/outright incorrect info (not to mention a point in time where they were hyping up the e-Card Reader thinking it'd be released in the UK).
Not to mention the game reviews they did.

Quite fondly actually, I would borrow the Pokémon and Anime ones from the library as a kid. I read them mostly for the TCG info but I would usually read them front to back, I learned about so many shows and things I wouldn’t have otherwise at that age.
