He's right though. "God" or "divine" are not inherently qualities that translate to combat prowess or raw power. You can't just argue that "X wins because it's (a) God" because that means nothing.

Maybe in the context he was speaking, but applying it to Pokemon makes literally no sense, hence why it is cringe. Especially when it has been shown that Arceus is immune to all attacks when he has all plates.

Obviously, different Gods have different feats. However, being the creator of the universe as well as the Pokemon of Life, Time, Space, Anti matter and Death themselves, it is very obvious that Arceus would take a steaming shit on Mewtwo.

Arceus has done basically nothing in the game canon besides create the universe. While I do think Game Freak intended it to be capable of winning Vs. most any other Pokemon due to Multitype, it also comes across as an entity that has no interest in fighting. I don’t know what cause would rally Arceus to battle like other legendaries/mythicals do.

That's because Arceus is technically not even catchable in its main game. It has no lore to it because GF decided not to give it any because of a canceled event and ignoring it in subsequent entries. However, the anime does more to Arceus than the games have.
