Non blocky land, a proper day/night cycle like in GSC, the protagonist's designs not getting fucked, make team galactic stronger (every battle after the windmill building), a poketch controller that functions like the poketch from the originals, multiplayer beauty contests, 15-30 player underground with friends taking priority (also private lobbies for friends only), friends shown on the overworld, full camera rotation, and pokemon following you.

Let's see how game freak approaches Sinnoh remakes.
With dexit involved, the direct connectivity with current GEN VIII games isn't very clear.

Anyways, remakes sell, so the profit from the profit from the games is kinda guaranteed.

At this point all i really wish is for them to please not fuck up the battle fronteir, they can shit out the rest of the game but i need the battle fronteir to be actually fucking there

back when i was a kid i couldn't beat palmer his team was way too powerful and i refused to take my starter infernape out of my team , so i moved it to heart gold we beat read the to unova where we beat everyone and i started to get the hang of ev's and then in kalos we actually started beating battle facilities, then in alola i gave infernape bottlecaps and he became even stronger, main reason i loved z moves was because i could use them with infernape, i really wish he could go to galar but all i want is a second chance to fight palmer now that im 23 and infernape is way stronger

Unpopular opinion, but I hope they retain the route structure, but with far great enhancements. SWSH route designs were aesthetically nice, albeit short and uneventful. I hope they can at least enhance the Sinnoh routes to look much nicer than the originals. I would LOVE to see them use the full-rotation camera everywhere too.

It’s hard to imagine them NOT including game code for every Pokemon since a good 3/4 of Pokemon are now coded into SWSH. Could they just omit and update for SWSH to have that code? Yes. Fans would obviously loathe that decision though. But I imagine that the DP remakes WILL have access to all Pokemon in SWSH as well as the remaining Pokemon they decide to include.

My real wish is for features like the Poketch, Contests, Ball Seals, and the Fight Area to survive the transition.

All gens 1-4 mons? Yeah, probably. All gen 5-8 mons? probably not

Maybe I'm too optimistic, but I have the feeling that any DP feature that isn't game corner will be there. Platinum features like battle frontier I have the feeling will not be there though

You could rationalize mega evos and z-moves as deficient forms of gigantamax, which sorta brings both of them together, but he left a huge god damn incompatable mess behind. Why is he still employed?

Masuda directed LGPE and that turned out well didn't it. The best thing about the DP remakes are gonna be that they're not directed by Ohmori or Masuda because Ohmori is busy directing gen 9 and Masuda said he won't direct a mainline game ever again

I hope for routes to be left as routes but same visual style as SwSh. Hope Dawn and Lucas are kept as player characters, and no old characters are removed or drastically changed (like Team Magma and Aqua were changed imo too much in ORAS). Hope some new characters are added that bring some new light to the plot. Hope we FINALLY find out wtf happened with Looker and his amnesia in ORAS. Hope exp share is made optional again especially since Sinnoh is like bazillion times bigger than Galar and has much more battles.

Let's actually do some math though
>Gen 1: 34/151, 22.5% missing
>Gen 2: 44/100, 44% missing
>Gen 3: 49/135, 36.3% missing
>Gen 4: 44/107, 41.1% missing
>Gen 5: 31/156, 19.9% missing
>Gen 6: 20/72, 27.8% missing
>Gen 7: 11/88, 12.5% missing
By the "what's still missing" logic, Gen 3 has the most numerically, Gen 2 has the most percentage wise, and Gen 4 while up there on both counts could be argued that the regional dex should be taken into account due to sharing a lot of Pokemon with Gen 1-3. If anyone wants to see what's still missing from the DP and Platinum regional dexes, be my guest.

Code was never the problem, they can put the code in with whatever jank model they want, the prototypes prove this. The problem is the testing and texture work they'd have to do if they change the lighting engine. Look at Let's Go and SS. They use the same engine, SS is forked from LG, and yet they had to cut Pokemon from Let's Go because they didn't update the textures so they'd look a bit fucky. GF also can easily convert the models and animations and whatever from whatever 3DS format they were using to the new one they're using for Switch, but it would look a bit fucky just because of the lighting engine being different. Basically, shit's completely fucked unless they never change lighting engines again, which is never going to happen.

SwSh base game about 116/210 missing (55 %) out of DP regional dex and after dlc missing are about 65/210 (31%). Large majority of the missing Pokemon especially those remaining missing after the dlc are the most commonly found Pokemon in Sinnoh.

I'd like the soundtrack to embrace the Jazz theme that the originals had. It wasn't all the tracks but a huge percentage of DPPt's music is really Jazzy with all the MIDI Saxophones and Pianos.
I want a potential remake to double down on this and make the whole game a jazz extravaganza. Reinterpret every track as Jazz. Full surround sound Saxophone baby.

Not at all. You see, most Pokemon that are cut are generally unpopular or weak, which Johto and Hoenn are abundant of.
On the other hand Crown Tundra focused on fossil Pokemon and changed thier status from extinct to living. Another weird thing was bringing back all legendary Pokemon (and UBs) with most mythicals, except for every single one of them from Sinnoh. Lack of starters just makes it all more obvious.
