The reason for three heads is because the design team realize that it would be nightmare to animate on a 2d state. If Hydreigon was made during the 3ds era, it would have 8 heads.

Dynamaxes were just such a lame concept to begin with, to have them miss opportunies like these is even more insulting. Should have just sticked to megas and maybe expand on z-moves instead of adding battle-gimmick-that doesn't-add-much-in-the-end #937
