After the first city it slows down, but there are still a few. After the first island, then it slows down considerably. There are still cutscenes, but they're for story, not tutorial.

Seriously? If that's part of the game, I must have forgotten about it.
Getting $30,000 at the start of the game seems like it would make the game too easy, so when I saw your money, I assumed it was due to a hack or something, instead of being part of the game.

Yeah she gave me 30k and on top of that I got a Pearl and Stardust from the Festival Plaza. I was able to buy 20 pokeball and a bunch of pots from get go. It feels a little broken.
