I don't like Crobat because it just looks so off-brand. I do like Tangrowth and Togekiss because they seem like natural changes, and I also like Scizor and Slowking because the evolution method played a role in directing them that way. Crobat looking the way it does with only friendship seems unorthodox.

If it had just been designed as a biped then nobody would've complained. Making it Water/Fighting and then making Emboar either pure Fire or Fire/Dark would've helped a ton too.

What makes you say that? The color scheme continuing on for Togekiss but not for Crobat is a huge difference out the gate.

I was a big Maraenie fan until I evolved it and found it evolved into this. It's not bad, Toxapex is cool in its own right but I was really hoping for a more menacing/emo look, like a black sea Urchin

Electivire feels like it was designed as an evolution for Elekid rather than Electabuzz.
Its markings and proportions are more akin to Elekid than Electabuzz. Electabuzz's vague tiger-like aesthetic is completely lost.

My main problem with him is that he lost speed when he evolved, turning him into a physical electric type with poor speed. Also the fact that he lost his fucking neck too.

I don't know, I feel like the shift to resembling a Samurai helmet gives it a nice Youkai feel like a piece of armor that couldn't rest until the job was done.
