Nope. It's literally just the manchildren. Mobile games live rent free in Ishihara/Masuda's head because they look at the profits of those games from whales without seeing what the actual demographics for them are.
Hell, they don't even look at the demographics for Pokemon itself either, they just keep trying to appeal to children without actually seeing what they like.
Hint: It's not restrictive visual novels with barebones content and shit graphics. Most kids i've seen are bigger graphics whores than adults because they're all told its the biggest and most important thing about a game because of influencers
