>>45454174Not sure if you're still monitoring this, but the games are fine. If you enjoyed gen 3 originally, and you got them cheap you should enjoy them. Yes, there are differences, but nothing that will really make the game bad.
There is no real polarization that happens in this game to make it different than the originals to make one better than the other. It does hand-hold a bit more for obvious reasons which aren't great, but I think it can be overlooked. If you're looking for a nostalgia trip you'll definitely have it as long as you're open to the additions like mega evolution and new pokemon. Yeah, not every pokemon is for everyone. If you look at an Audino and hate it for being a discount Chansey you're not alone, but there are also people that like it. Most people on here rage just to rage.
There are welcome additions with the physical/special split which wasn't in the original games but makes moves make a little bit more sense. The day/night cycle is back in which is also nice. And while the graphics aren't great, they're still better than the originals.
At the end of the day, It's a game like any other, whether you like it or not is entirely subjective. Don't bother with the twits crying about it not being emerald.
