I dont think gamefreak would base a game on a developing and unstable country, not marketeable enough, even though Thailand is appealing and popular in Japan. I bet on Italy, Spain or a Japanese region for next gen.

I want some sort of fusion between Indochina and South America for half of the Region. Other half I want a Gobi Desert/Central American themed area, with actual dunes and canyon systems fleshed out.

I would love a region based in Thailand, but to be honest Nintendo and GF are putting their full attention on the Chinese market, so don't be surprised that this is the option for the next generation.
