>>45463518It dates back to HGSS. Basically, HGSS far exceeded anyone's expectations of what to see in a remake, as not only did it do everything (relatively) faithfully, but it added a ton of shit including content that was introduced in Crystal, as well as Platinum's Battle Frontier.
Since Emerald introduced the BF and the previous remake added third version content to the game, it was expected by many that ORAS would follow a similar pattern. Not only was that not the case, but they simply copypasted the Battle Maison(Side note, they cut trainer customization for not being "appropriate" for Hoenn but added in a french mansion right in the middle of the boonies in Japan?) and added a little model that may have been intended as a cute reference but really just rubbed salt in the wounds.
There was a lot more wrong with ORAS than just a missing Battle Frontier, but the fact that they chose to call attention to it in such a way is just unbelievably dense. Or spiteful.
