It reeks of insecurity to me. The original track was so powerful because of its modesty - it allowed it to feel homely and comforting. Over-emphasising a sense of majesty with the ridiculously extravagant piano and trying to use an "emotional" electric guitar destroys all of the character of the original, and because the piano and guitar are at such odds with each other, this new arrangement doesn't offer any new character, leaving it feeling like a mess that wants to be taken way too seriously.

I'm fine with the awoos (mostly) because I think it works well with the songs they used it in (vs. Illusion Zacian and Zamazenta, Slumbering Weald, Eternatus 3) but this one is just way too fucking busy even without the howls, with them its just all over the place

Most of the tracks in HGSS have really excessive instrumentation. I don't personally mind the national park theme, but the only tracks in the remake I don't consider downgrades are ecruteak and cianwood.

I really hate how fucking boring and unfitting this one is. I get that it's going for the "Look how majestic this legendary is!" instead of "Look how powerful and dangerous it is!", but you're fighting a light-consuming intergalactic dragon and the fucking music doesn't sound intense or exciting at all,especially when compared to something like Lugia's HGSS theme or the RSE weather trio theme.

It had a few good songs where the bombastic trumpets were a boon (such as any important battle theme) but as a whole the soundtrack was grating.

I don't really like Gen 3 or 4's soundtracks as a whole even though they're prob the most popular of the gens. Is it because I played those games fucking nonstop as a kid? I like the battle themes and there's other exceptions but in general they sound so bland.
