Zoomer playing Red here. Just got to the SS Anne. Had no idea you can't leave the ship. Almost blacked out. Only reason I survived is because I brought a Dugtrio that I caught in Diglett's Cave and found a Hyper Potion for Charmeleon
How the fuck did kids beat this? My Level 18 Pikachu and Pidgeotto got their asses kicked and could hardly do any damage anyway.
I'm starting to doubt you can beat these games without grinding till overleveled
