Why is Giratina-O considered the strongest of these 3 when it has no item slot, has the lowest BST and also has the least beneficial ability?

Giratina-O is weak to Dark, Ghost, Ice, Fairy, Dragon.
With the exception of Dragon, these tend to be special attacking types. Since Giratina has Calm Mind and immense bulk, it can usually survive some hits to set up Calm Minds and become devastating on offense.

Zamazenta doesn't have a fucking item slot. Giratina's is the only one whose item does more than a form change.

Giratina-O isn't immune to Stealth Rock, the most relevant hazard, and it isn't naturally weak to Ground.

Compared to Tough Claws and Dauntless Shield is is a mediocre ability.

I passed over this thread when it had 0 replies but I just realized how retarded what you just said was. Giratina-O is the ONLY one of these three that has "an item slot". Shield is just form change. Metagrossite is just form change. Griseous Orb buffs Giratina's STABs by 1.2.

I'll admit it's worse than Tough Claws, but the only Pokemon that Levitate is mediocre on is fan Rotom. Stealth Rock is the ONLY hazard it isn't immune to and immunity to Ground is still great even if you aren't weak to it.

Reminder that Griseous Orb actually doesss something besides letting Giratina transform into that form, unlike Rusted Shield and Metagrossite. So Giratina's offenses are basically deceptively higher. Also, Levitate is a worse ability yes, but it has lots of utility in Ubers generally thanks to EQ being relatively common. On top of that the Steel-types have mediocre offensive typings. Steel might be spammable but it's not great, and their secondary STAB leaves them walled by certain common threats. Giratina is much less wallable, in terms of STAB coverage, and it's also a lot more versatile thanks to its mixed offenses and movepool.

You can't just look at the individual mon but also the meta surrounding it. The other mon that are strong in Uber are weaker against Gira than the other two.

The Orb actually buffs its STABs, Ghost STAB is real good, three immunities are also really good, it's really fucking chunky so it can actually set up and it has actual utility, Zam-C does literally nothing and Megagross is outclassed by other Steel types in the tier, oh and neither of their hold items actually does anything but enable their form change unlike Giratina's.
